Bridging Heritage & Economic Success For Our Shareholders
Sheri Buretta has dedicated her career to the well-being and advancement of the Chugach Region, with a passion for the people and heritage of her family’s home, Tatitlek. A member of the Tatitlek Corporation (TTC) Board of Directors for over 15 years and Treasurer of the Corporation, Sheri has not only demonstrated exceptional leadership but has also set a high standard for service to shareholders.
Sheri’s family roots run deep in Tatitlek. She is the daughter of Judy (Kompkoff) and Richard Randazzo Sr., and her connection to the community has been a guiding force throughout her life and career. In addition to her role at TTC, she serves as Chairman of Chugach Alaska Corporation (CAC), where her leadership has driven both corporate success and shareholder-focused programs. At TTC, Sheri’s contributions have been transformative. Her dedication to strong financial success, shareholder programs, increasing dividends, and expanding program funding has positively impacted countless lives. She has championed economic success and development for both TTC and CAC, and has continually pushed for initiatives and programs that empower our people to follow their dreams.
At the heart of Sheri’s life is her family. For 40 years she has been married to Gary Buretta, a retired Air Force veteran, and together they have raised two children, Anastasia Buretta and Garrison “Bo” Buretta. Just as Sheri works tirelessly for the success of our shareholders, she is equally committed to ensuring that her children experience success while staying rooted in their Tatitlek heritage. A talented artist and cultural advocate, Sheri has also served as a traditional Native arts instructor at Tatitlek Cultural Heritage Week for many years. She teaches youth how to create seal fur earrings, purses, scarves, gloves, mittens, and much more. In the span of her accomplishments as a celebrated businesswoman, she still finds time to dedicate to teaching the next generation.
Her leadership is a testament to the balance between honoring tradition and achieving economic success. As Sheri herself says, “My passion is to see the people of Tatitlek and our shareholders pursue their dreams and experience success, all while remaining rooted in the heritage and values that make our community unique.”
Sheri Buretta’s career exemplifies the power of compassionate leadership, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to her people. Her dedication to Tatitlek and her ability to blend cultural preservation with corporate achievement serve as an inspiring example of service leadership for all.
The Tatitlek Corporation and its shareholders are fortunate to benefit from her steadfast advocacy, vision, and heart. Thank you, Sheri, for your dedication to our community and for continuing to build a brighter future for generations to come.
