On May 6 – 11, 2024, The Tatitlek Corporation hosted the annual Tatitlek Cultural Heritage Week, a cherished event that brought together 60 participants from the Chugach region for a week of traditional arts classes.
The Tatitlek Corporation, Chenega Corporation and Chugach Alaska Corporation celebrate the opening of Chugach Naswik.
On May 12, 2024, The Tatitlek Corporation, Chenega Corporation and Chugach Alaska Corporation proudly announced the opening of joint development facility, Chugach Naswik, (Naswik) at a ribbon cutting ceremony in Valdez, AK.
Nanci Robart joined The Tatitlek Corporation (TTC) Board in the summer of 2018, bringing with her a deep-rooted connection to Tatitlek, AK, and a commitment to serving her community. Born and raised in Tatitlek, Nanci is the daughter of the late Tatitlek Chief Gary Kompkoff and Nancy Kompkoff. She, along with her five sisters, grew up in their family home and graduated from Tatitlek Community School.
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming reopening of The Kelly House, a cherished community center that embodies the original vision of Gary Kompkoff. The Kelly House, initially opened pre-pandemic, served as a safe and welcoming space for our community members to play games, enjoy free wi-fi, and enjoy each other’s company in a drug- and alcohol-free environment.
The Tatitlek Corporation is excited to offer Traditional Native Arts Classes at our Anchorage, AK office. Taught by Diane Selanoff, these classes are a great way to connect with our heritage and each other.
This past 12 months, the community of Tatitek has experienced an unprecedented wave of loss, with the passing of four elders and three community members. While every shareholder loss is deeply felt in a small community of 60, every family is affected. We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of several cherished members of our Tatitlek community.
The Tatitlek Corporation (Tatitlek) proudly announces the successful completion of its land entitlements under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) with today’s transfer of more than 8,760 acres from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to the village corporation.
