Premiered during 2025 Cultural Heritage Week, this film celebrates the richness of Tatitlek heritage and the strength of our people, capturing how traditional practices continue to thrive and connect generations.
Through stories of hunting, fishing, harvesting, dancing, and Native arts, the video highlights the enduring importance of subsistence and cultural traditions. It features reflections from The Tatitlek Corporation’s Board of Directors, leadership, and community members, with special insights from Tatitlek elder, community leader and past board vice president, Ken Vlasoff.
The film underscores the importance of passing these traditions forward and explores the deep relationship between land, culture, and community. As Board Member and Tatitlek IRA Council President Nanci Lee Robart shares: “The importance of subsistence in our community is the unity it provides.”
