Each spring, the Peksulineq Festival keeps the cultural traditions of the People of Tatitlek vibrant and enduring. The 2025 festival, held May 5–9 in Tatitlek Village, brought together 75 participants and more than 30 volunteers from across Alaska in celebration of Alutiiq heritage.
Through hands-on workshops in beading, fur sewing, wood working and traditional food preparation, instructors shared more than just skills, they passed down values of patience, respect for elders, gratitude, and cooperation. These teachings connected participants to the wisdom of generations before them while inspiring future generations to carry Tatitlek culture forward. Culture Week 2026 is scheduled May 4-8, 2026.
