Did you know the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) began with its first statewide gathering back in 1966? The Elders and Youth Conference followed in 1984, creating a platform for youth to share their voices and participate in the statewide movement alongside elders and leaders.
This year, the 42nd Elders and Youth Conference took place October 12–15, followed by the 59th AFN Convention on October 16–18. The Tatitlek Corporation was proud to welcome visitors at our booth and share updates with shareholders and partners.
We also recognize Angela Totemoff, who has proudly served as the Village Representative for the Chugach region since 2018. Angela has greatly enjoyed representing our villages and working to strengthen the voice of the Chugach region within AFN. Her commitment reflects a bright future for our regional communities and the generations to come.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and represented Tatitlek with pride.
